love + words bison
This design features a lively, imperfect and infectious palette with the front of the bison in bright colours and lively brush strokes, and the back end of the piece in classic black and white. Alive with imperfections and energy, this design uses hand-rendered quotes and words to highlight the importance of children, life, safety, community, protection and belonging. Bison, known for their fiercely protective matriarchal society, will work as a community to surround and turn inwards in order to defend their precious young and vulnerable.

FWS is honoured to support the Bison on the Boulevard campaign, championing Toba Centre for Children & Youth. We stand with you in your unwavering commitment to strengthening our community by protecting our youth. Together, we provide them with a sanctuary where they can find comfort, healing, and access to vital resources when faced with abuse or witnessing violence.
We are profoundly grateful to support an organization with such a noble mission: protecting our children, ensuring they receive the help they need, and guiding them toward healing after experiencing or witnessing violence.
May the sight of the bison for years to come serve as a powerful reminder of strength, resilience, and the shared responsibility we all have in safeguarding our youth. Let us all strive to embody this spirit and make a lasting difference in the lives of our children.”
AT THE HEART OF THE STORM, YOU’LL FIND

A place to be heard, helped, & healed
For children and youth who have experienced abuse, Toba Centre provides wraparound support. Our team of professionals from law enforcement, child protection, medical, mental health, and other support services work together from one location to help young people and their families throughout their healing journey.

Cows run away from the storm while the buffalo charges toward it – and gets through it quicker. Whenever I’m confronted with a tough challenge, I do not prolong the torment, I become the buffalo.
