Together
This piece symbolizes healing and the power of community support. At the center of the bouquet is a grey flower, representing a child who has faced hardship. Its soft return of colour illustrates that healing is possible. The surrounding vibrant flowers represent the strength, love, and support of family, friends, and the community. The white light encircling the grey flower signifies hope and guidance, reminding us that with the help of others, we can find the strength to heal. Together is a message of unity, love, and the importance of coming together to help one another through difficult times.
The design of Together was created with the core values of Toba Centre for Children & Youth in mind. It reflects the belief that every child has the right to feel safe, supported, and free from abuse. The grey flower at the center symbolizes a child’s journey through hardship, while its return of color represents the healing process. It also reflects the idea that no child should face abuse alone. With the support of a community, the vibrant flowers surrounding the central flower illustrate the inclusivity, diversity, and strength of the support network at Toba Centre. The white lights surrounding the grey flower honor the hope and guidance the Centre provides. This design embodies the belief that healing is possible and that creating a safe, protective environment for all children is a shared responsibility. The bouquet is supported by wheat, a tribute to our prairie roots and the deep connection to the land that feels like home.

Cows run away from the storm while the buffalo charges toward it – and gets through it quicker. Whenever I’m confronted with a tough challenge, I do not prolong the torment, I become the buffalo.
