Dogs With Wings (DWW) Fly into Winnipeg

Our newest staff members, DWW Duke and DWW Booster arrived from Alberta on March 29, welcomed to Winnipeg by Mayor Brian Bowman.

As facility dogs, they bring comfort to children and families who attend Toba Centre, reducing any stress or anxiety they may be experiencing. DWW Booster and DWW Duke can greet children and families, join in meetings, and be present with children and youth during their interviews. They will also attend events—everyone loves a furry and friendly ambassador! In fact, they were at the We Will Campaign media conference and have been busy meeting many of our supporters and community members, including our construction team at Number 10 Architectural Group and Bockstael Construction.

The arrival of our DWW dogs is the fulfillment of two-year long process to establish the Helping Hounds program. If you would like to support the care and program activities of DWW Duke and DWW Booster, please consider a donation.

Follow us at @TobaCentreMB on Facebook and watch for updates on our new furry friend. You’ll love seeing photos of their adventures.

Toba Centre is proud to be Dogs With Wings’ first Manitoba partner. They are an accredited member of Assistance Dogs International and have provided extensive training for our staff.
