Winnipeg Kinsmen Donates $1 Million

Today, Winnipeg Kinsmen is proud to announce that they are making a $1 million donation to the We Will Capital Campaign in support of a new home for Toba Centre for Children and Youth.

“This is an incredible investment from the Kinsmen of Winnipeg. The Kinsmen organization shows us everyday what it means to be a community and we are so incredibly grateful that they are now partners in protecting children. They will be part of the circle of care for Manitoba’s children and families for years to come,” says Toba Centre’s Executive Director Christy Dzikowicz.

This lead gift will help the We Will Capital Campaign reach its goal of raising $15 million. The funds will support renovations to create a high-functioning, multi-disciplinary child advocacy centre—all in the calm and serene setting of Assiniboine Park.

Winnipeg Kinsmen Vice-President of Service Tim McKay says: “Children are the most vulnerable members of our community. It is incumbent on all of us to ensure that they are protected and given the best opportunities in life. The Kinsmen Club of Winnipeg is very proud to support the Toba Centre. Together, we will protect children and work to build a better, safer future for our communities.”

Winnipeg Kinsmen is dedicated to serving the community’s greatest need by providing funding to charitable organizations through fundraisers including Kin Kar Raffle and Kinsmen Jackpot Bingo.
